The practical details

A website project starts with a conversation about the business, the content and the tasks customers need to complete. The written proposal turns that brief into an agreed scope.
Scope and quotations
The proposal identifies pages, templates, functionality, content responsibilities, review stages and exclusions. Hosting, domains, paid apps and other third-party costs are identified separately. Requests outside the agreed scope are reviewed before additional work begins.
Design reviews and approvals
Feedback and approvals are recorded at agreed stages. Review responsibilities and content deadlines are part of the plan so both sides know what is needed before the next stage.
Payment milestones
Amounts, stages and due dates are confirmed in the project proposal and invoices. The written project agreement and applicable Terms of Service govern commercial commitments.
Ownership, accounts and handover
Domain and hosting ownership, account access, third-party licences and the handover of agreed files are clarified before work starts. Client-owned accounts should remain under the client’s control, with suitable access roles for implementation. Any transfer conditions are written in the project agreement.
Launch and support
Representative pages, links, mobile navigation and agreed forms are reviewed before launch. The receiving workflow for enquiries needs a real installed-site test. Included fixes, response expectations, maintenance and new feature work are described in the support scope; unlimited ongoing changes are not assumed.
